On 2-4 June 1998 XI General Assembly of the National Olympic Committees Association was held in Spain city of Sevilia. In this meeting vice-president of the National Olympic Committee Chingiz Huseynzade was representing Republic of Azerbaijan.

On 9-10 September 1998 International Olympic Committee jointly with Croatian National Olympic Committee held a regional conference "Woman and sport" in the city of Zagreb. Member of the Executive Committee Gulush Gozalova was participating in the conference.

On 13-14 November of the same year XVII General Assembly of European Olympic Committee was held in Russian city of Saint-Petersburg. Azerbaijan National Olympic Committee was represented in the meeting by Chingiz Huseynzade and Agajan Abiyev. It is very pleasant that for the first time both representatives of Azerbaijan were elected as members of newly established structures - "Preparation to the Olympic Games" and "Technical cooperation" commissions.
