Since November of 2001, National Olympic Committee started also publication of its new paper called "Olympic world". This weekly paper, consisted of eight pages, changed within a few months to the most popular sport paper of the country. Paper covers innovations of activities of National Olympic Committee, AOC and IOC, sport events inside country and in international area, performances of Azerbaijani athletes in international competitions, also interesting materials on those who have valuable services in development of sport, famous coaches and sportsmen.

Six-page article was published on Sport Europe magazine of Europe Olympic Committee, issued on May of 2001, about Azerbaijan Olympic Movement. Title of this article on this magazine that is published in English and French and sent to all Olympic and sport organizations over the world, is Azerbaijan. Article begins with historical-geographical resume on our republic and its capital. Magazine includes materials on Azerbaijan's ancient history, participation of our sportsmen in Olympic Games since 1952, and works done since 1997. And it provided foreign readers with opportunity to get close acquaintance with Azerbaijan Olympic Movement.

In 2002, National Olympic Committee prepared and published original manual on I World Championship of juvenile boxers held in Baku. Manual includes process and results of Championship, information on winners. International Amateur Boxing Association appreciated this manual high. It was mentioned that manual was first original and successful publication in practice of holding World Boxing Championships. It needs to mention that this manual is not the first experience of publication functioning of National Olympic Committee. Programs, posters and booklets of Juveniles Republican Games, 45th Europe Free Wrestling Championship, Europe Youth Chess player Championship in Baku were prepared and published at Committee.

Actions held by National Olympic Committee in field of information and publication, serve study and propaganda of Olympic movement in Azerbaijan, and popularity of sport. Now NOC provided all kind of possibilities for coverage of all actions that it holds and takes part, in other mass media agencies. This direction is much more strengthened during holding of international competitions, Olympic Days and Olympic Games. Journalists, photo-reporters, TV reporters are entered in delegation to attend such events. They provide operational information and broadcasting of videos on sport event to republic.

Two pages of one of popular papers of Russian Federation "Izvestiya" were dedicated to Azerbaijan National Olympic Committee and Azerbaijan's famous sportsmen, in 2002. This is one of essential facts proving once again that works done towards development of Olympic Movement and sport in the country are in center of attention in international community.
